About Kristy

I’m Kristy Lynne Poindexter — a lifestyle creator, patient advocate, and founder of the TPN Support Group. For more than 37 years, I’ve lived with intestinal failure and relied on home parenteral nutrition (TPN), navigating complex chronic illness while building a life rooted in resilience, style, and community.

In 2011, I founded the TPN – Total Parenteral Nutrition Support Group, an international peer-support community connecting patients and caregivers living with home parenteral nutrition. Through this work and my advocacy, I strive to help others feel less alone while sharing practical insight into life with complex medical conditions.

My advocacy extends beyond community leadership. I’ve contributed to patient education initiatives, research collaborations, and conversations focused on improving support for individuals living with intestinal failure. In 2021, I was honored as Advocate of the Year by The Oley Foundation, and in 2024 I had the opportunity to present at The Oley Foundation Annual Conference, sharing my lived experience and perspective with the broader medical and patient community.

Through Life, Style & Advocacy – beautifully blended, I share curated lifestyle inspiration alongside honest reflections on living with chronic illness. My goal is to show that even in the face of medical challenges, it is possible to build a life that feels meaningful, vibrant, and beautifully your own.
